Recruitment platform for boarding schools launched

The Boarding Schools’ Association (BSA Group) is partnering with recruitment specialists Hays to launch a new recruitment platform for the education sector.

The site, jobsforschools.org.uk, gives schools access to a diverse pool of candidates, allowing them to seek to attract and recruit skilled and talented applicants for all roles across their organisation and departments.

Jobseekers meanwhile can benefit from a dedicated portal to search and filter a broad range of job opportunities within the education sector, with positions advertised for all levels and skills.

Robin Fletcher, CEO of BSA Group, said: “We’re delighted to launch this exciting new collaboration with Hays, which marks a step-change in the recruitment landscape for schools. We know that recruitment and retention is a pressing concern for education leaders across the UK and we’re proud to offer a bespoke solution that is tailored to the individual needs of a school and its staff body.

“Our partnership enables schools to benefit from a suite of expert recruitment services, support and consultancy, giving them the tools they need to future-proof their organisation. The platform also highlights the variety and scope of careers in education, allowing candidates to access a full jobs database at their fingertips and recruiters to attract specialist and diverse talent.”

Paul Matthias, National Director at Hays specialising in Education, said: “Working with the team at BSA Group to develop such a valuable platform has been fantastic. I am confident that our partnership will positively benefit both jobseekers to secure exciting career opportunities and employers to find the talent they need across the education sector and to access a wealth of recruitment services.

“This initiative is more important than ever in today’s skills short market, whereby attracting and retaining in-demand talent is a real challenge for education leaders far and wide. Crucially, the recruitment platform we have created will allow schools to fill a vast range of vacancies, from support staff to teaching positions to senior roles, covering all bases and giving education employers the tools to help facilitate success.

“Through clear communication and close collaboration, we were able to understand what an ideal service would look like for each unique member, whilst also ensuring the best value for the organisations involved.”

The platform offers a competitive price structure with the flexibility to publish an unlimited number of job adverts through a premium applicant tracking system. With a dedicated Account Manager from Hays, organisations can also access additional consultancy services and analysis through the platform as required.

Robin Fletcher, CEO of BSA Group, adds: “In a critical period for education, we believe our new platform will help to shape and redefine school recruitment, allowing schools to build a well-rounded workforce that authentically reflects their student and parent communities, with jobseekers from a wide range of specialisms able to take advantage of the unrivalled career and personal development opportunities available.”
