The salary for Sir Daniel Moynihan, the Harris Academy chain’s chief executive, has reached £395,000-£400,000 after a recent salary rise, according to reports from the Guardian.
The pay rise represents a five per cent increase, or £20,000, and cements Moynihan’s position as the highest paid school head in the country.
Moynihan’s salary has increased by 83 per cent since 2009, with three additional employees with the Harris chain earning over £200,000.
Comparatively, at the Ark Schools chain, the highest paid employee earned £180,000-£190,000 in 2014-15.
