Teachers to Have Their Say on SEND Reforms in Online Panel
Supplier News: SEND
Concerned teachers and SEN specialists are invited to have their say on the 2026 Schools White Paper in a free online debate, with findings presented directly to the Department for Education.
Taking place on 9th April (8pm–9.30pm), the panel will explore concerns about the proposed SEND reforms and whether official consultations truly reflected frontline voices. Members of the public are welcome to join, and their comments will be compiled into a report delivered to the DfE before the 18th May deadline.
Organised by SENsational Tutors, the event features panellists including Christine McGuinness (TV personality and SEND Advocate), Jessie Townz (PDA Advocate & Podcaster), and Douglas Hamer (Solicitor, Geldards LLP).
Host Joanna Gibbs says: "We urge teachers to share their views on the 2026 Schools White Paper and its proposed SEND reforms. We need as many voices as possible to create a report that reflects the on-the-ground reality."
Christine McGuinness adds: "This is about basic human rights. Our children are entitled to an education where they feel safe, supported, happy and thriving."
SENsational Tutors is a multi-award winning SEND tutoring agency, founded in 2017, supporting students aged 4–25 across local authorities, schools, and families.
