Structured Online GCSE Provision for Vulnerable Learners

Silvercrest Education Ltd is a structured, online Alternative Provision provider delivering academically ambitious GCSE programmes for vulnerable learners.
We specialise in supporting young people who are at risk of disengagement, exclusion or disrupted education, including Looked After Children (LAC), Previously Looked After Children (PLAC), learners with medical needs, anxiety-related school avoidance, and those requiring reintegration support.

Our model is built on a clear principle: Alternative Provision should not mean reduced ambition. It should provide renewed direction.

Founded by Ashiima Cross, a qualified English teacher with experience in secondary education, Silvercrest was established with a clear purpose: to close the attainment gap for vulnerable learners and ensure Alternative Provision remains academically ambitious. Ashiima’s classroom experience and understanding of examination frameworks underpin the structured, curriculum-led model at the heart of Silvercrest.

Learners access small cohort sessions or structured recorded pathways that rebuild subject knowledge, restore academic confidence and support examination readiness.
Safeguarding is central to our practice. We operate in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2025 and local safeguarding partnership procedures. As a remote provider, we have enhanced digital safeguarding protocols, secure delivery platforms, strict access controls and clear referral pathways to home local authorities. All staff hold Enhanced DBS clearance with Children’s Barred List checks and undertake regular safeguarding and Prevent training.

Our provision is trauma-aware, SEND-responsive and focused on re-engagement. We work closely with commissioning local authorities, Virtual Schools and social care teams to ensure information sharing is timely, appropriate and centred on the best interests of the child.

We currently deliver GCSE English Language and Literature,GCSE Maths and KS3 foundation pathway designed to close gaps and support reintegration into mainstream or progression to qualification outcomes.
