Education Endowment Foundation to be funded beyond 2026

The Department for Education will announce today that it will re-endow the Education Endowment Foundation to continue researching and developing best practice in teaching methods.
In a speech to the conference of the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) today, the Secretary of State for Education, Nadhim Zahawi, is expected to confirm that the Education Endowment Foundation will be re-endowed beyond its current endowment which ends in 2026.
Professor Becky Francis, CEO of the EEF, said: “It is very welcome news that the EEF will be re-endowed for the long-term, allowing us to continue our work beyond 2026 and make a lasting contribution to the English education system. Our hope is that the EEF remains a valuable and trusted source of support for all teachers and school leaders as they work to meet the needs of all their pupils, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.”
