Some South West schools close due to storm Eunice

A number of schools in the South West of England are closed today due to Storm Eunice.
A rare Met Office red warning is in place, which has led some councils to announce a move to online learning as a precaution.
Somerset has announced all its schools will close and education moved online "if possible", while North Somerset has advised all schools to switch to home learning.
School closures have also been announced in Devon, Cornwall, Bristol and Gloucestershire.
Some councils have cited current building works and proximity of trees as possible concerns, while others have cited a cancellation of transport services.
While many schools in England are on half term, most schools in the South West are due to start half term next week.
A report from the Digital Poverty Alliance show that while digital tools are now embedded across school routines, access and usability remain deeply uneven.
