Business and Careers Festival returns to KidZania London

Kidzania London is hosting a Business & Careers Festival on 11-13 October to encourage children in Key Stages 1-3 to develop enterprise and employability skills as well as financial literacy.

Children will be able to meet real-life professionals from a whole host of careers. This year, meet real-life Cabin Crew and Pilots from British Airways and one of Mission Deli’s experienced chefs.

KidsMBA will be introducing kids to key business skills to fuel their know-how and aptitude for business.

In addition, the digital hub Kidspiration is connecting young people directly to change makers, will be hosting workshops focusing on interview skills through fun-packed and entertaining activities. Kids will learn how to ask good questions and practice their interviewing skills with some top talent.

The Ryman’s National enterprise team will be working with children to cultivate budding business and entrepreneurial leaders. The team, who run the largest school’s enterprise challenge in the UK, will be exploring the importance of marketing for businesses and harnessing students’ innate creativity to create their very own adverts. A whole range of skills will be developed in the process, with students practising teamwork and public speaking in an active and engaging way

The festival will feature top tips and information to explore in the classroom post- visit, with a focus on KS1-3 PSHE topics such as presenting, negotiation and KS3 Business.

The fair also extends to Saturday 13 October, where KidZania London will be open to families visiting KidPreneur, a special one-day event featuring talks, Q&As and workshops from a host of real life, young entrepreneurs. On the panel this year is Tommy Mallet, CEO of Mallet footwear; Rose Dyson, CEO of Pura Cosmetics; Jenk Oz, CEO of iCoolKid and Louise Leolin, co-founder of Dinobyte Labs.
