Funding for Norfolk academy terminated

King’s Lynn Academy in Norfolk has had its funding terminated following concerns about its performance.

The termination notice was published by the government today, 7 November, nine months and six days after it was issued.

The notice explains that the school, which is part of CWA Academy Trust, would lose its funding if its improvement doesn’t improve.

King’s Lynn was placed into special measures last November by Ofsted.

The letter was dated February 2, but has only just been made available to the public on the government’s website - leaving a gap between issuing the notice and publishing warning notices.
