Quality of computer science exam questioned
Teachers in Scotland have expressed concerns over the quality of a recent National 5 exam paper in computer science.
In particular, a number of teaching staff have claimed there were numerous problems with the questioning used in the papers, including the way some questions were phrased.
The results of the examination are due to be published in August and will help identify if there was a significant problem with the test.
Responding to criticism, the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) has argued that the exam paper was in line with course specifications. However, if the mark needed to pass, or the boundaries for certain grades are lowered substantially, the SQA is likely to face further questions.
