Scott will take over from Dr Elizabeth Passmore who has retired from the role and is set to bring a range of educational knowledge and experience to the title.
As part of the Office of the Schools Adjudicator (OSA), Scott will help to clarify the legal position on admissions policies in schools and, among other duties, settle disputes regarding school organisation proposals.
