Schools to close on day of the Queen's funeral

Monday 19 September, the date of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s State Funeral, will be a national bank holiday, and it has been confirmed that schools will be closed.
This will allow school staff and pupils to pay their respects to Her Majesty and commemorate Her reign, while marking the final day of the period of national mourning.
The bank holiday will take place across the United Kingdom.
Schools will remain open for the rest of the mourning period, and that Ofsted will continue to inspect schools, though it will not publish reports.
A report from the Digital Poverty Alliance show that while digital tools are now embedded across school routines, access and usability remain deeply uneven.
