The Department for Education (DfE) and the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) have set up self-service introductory level public procurement training sessions for school staff with budget or buying responsibility.
Aimed at senior leadership teams, school business managers and governors, the bite size modules provide a cost effective route to improving school procurement skills by sharing knowledge of public procurement legislation and effective best practice.
Topics covered include analysing value, creating a specification, contract management and legislation.
A creative careers programme which aims to inspire young people to explore careers across the creative industries has reached 210,000 young people since 2023.
The government is inviting EdTech companies and AI labs to develop AI tutoring tools, in collaboration with teachers, to ensure they support classroom practice.
