Benefits of Snowsports in the National Curriculum
The experiences gained through snowsport; physical, mental and social are immense and to exclude these opportunities from school life may be misguided. Snowsport fits well within just about any part of the curriculum through considered and informed planning.
Chill Factore can offer practical assessment as part of a student’s GCSE’s, A-Levels or further education qualification.
Skiing and Snowboarding can offer many distinct benefits to those taking part:
- The acquisition of physical skill and knowledge
- Personal and social development
- Environmental awareness
- The health of the individual, contributing to the uptake of an active lifestyle, (meeting the government agenda to combat inactivity and obesity)
What’s more:
- Skiing and Snowboarding are not difficult sports to learn and rely on technique rather than strength or fitness
- Snowsport is accessible to everyone, including those with disabilities
- Chill Factore provide all risk assessments and are CRB checked
Alternatively, those that are just looking to dust off the cob webs before a winter school holiday can tackle the UK’s longest Main Slope (180m) in Chille’s After School Club. Chille’s After School Club is a great way of keeping your pupils active outside of the classroom and making new friends!

On passing the award, your pupils can buy a badge and a certificate to highlight their achievements because let's face it; it is definitely something to be proud of! Chill Factore can print these certificates with their logo showing where you completed the award.

All equipment is included in the activity price, however groups can bring their own warm clothing (as although clothing is available to hire, this is chargeable) and gloves must be worn.
