Children at a Scarborough school are on the track for academic success after a big refurbishment and redesign of classrooms and buildings.
Friarage School has undergone a major transformation to introduce a raft of modern facilities while maintaining its traditional appearance.
The centrepiece of the work, which took around a year-and-a-half, is The Hub, which houses a new library, staff room and conference facilities.
Deputy headteacher Cheryl Cappleman has hailed the work a great success.
She said: “The whole school has been refurbished but we have managed to keep a lot of the original features.
“The children and staff were fantastic throughout the process and we have now got some absolutely fantastic buildings."
