Students require long-term, secure bicycle parking, and current forms of bicycle parking are clearly insufficient. Outdoor bicycle racks do not provide protection from the elements. There are some sheltered bicycle racks, but they are not necessarily convenient for the bicycle commuter and still provide no protection against vandalism or theft.
