Online courses personalise learning for disengaged pupils
New engaging online courses provided by Vision2learn for schools (www.vision2learnforschools.com) from Creating Careers are set to offer a stimulating alternative for 14-19 year olds who have 'switched off' from traditional education. Helping disengaged pupils to achieve recognised qualifications in preparation for working life and schools to significantly raise attainment levels, 20 vocational courses leading to nationally recognised qualifications are available. The courses span IT, work skills, health, fitness, sports coaching and wider key skills such as improving performance and working with others, from Levels 1 to 3.
Vision2learn is already used by 50 schools and LAs, enabling young people to take control and personalise their education, working in their own time and at their own pace, inside or outside of school hours. As vision2learn delivers qualifications through a virtual learning environment (VLE), it can assist local authorities in provision for pupils who are unable to attend school, including excluded pupils.
Vision2learn can offer pupils a route into further education, higher education or work as they gain valuable work-related skills and can achieve qualifications with GCSE equivalence points, recognised in school league tables. |
